The Tallest Building in The World

A high-rise is a tall building or structure, such as anapartment building or office. High-rise buildings became possible with the invention of the elevator (lift) and building materials which are cheaper and stronger. The Buildings between 75 feet and 491 feet (23 m to 150 m), based on some standards is considered to be high building. The building that is more than 492 feet (150 m) is called a skyscraper. The average height of the level was 13 feet (4 m) so that the building height 79 feet (24 m) has 6 levels.

Materials used for building structural system were one strong concrete and steel. Many American-style skyscrapers have a steel frame; whilethe block tower addition was built without concrete.

Nowadays, the high-rise building or the highest in the world will often be encountered, especially in Developed and growing countries. They are constructed and included in the list of tallest buildings in the world. The following are:

1. India Tower

Building that took place in Marine Lines, Mumbai, India are planned to be 719 meters tall and has 126 floors. The Construction of this building was started in 2010. But in 2011 under construction is stopped for a while. India Tower is scheduled to be finished at the end of 2016. Building designed by Foster and Partners and will be used for hotel, residences and shopping centers.

2. Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa is derived from the Arabic, “Burj Khalifah”, and the UK “Khalifa Tower”, known as Burj Dubai, this building is a skyscraper in Dubai, located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the height is 829.8 m ( 2,722 feet). The building is named after the Burj Khalifa, in honor of the President of UAE, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan over the importance of support.

Burj Khalifa is expected to accommodate up to 35,000 people at a time. With a total of 57 elevators and 8 escalators were installed. The elevator has a capacity of 12 to 14 people per cabin, the fastest up and down up to 10 m / sec (33 ft / sec). Double-deck elevators are equipped with features such as LCD screen entertainment to serve the visitors during their trip to the observation deck. The building has 2,909 stairs from the ground floor to floor-160, from a total of 163 floors.

At the time of its opening, Burj Khalifa became the tallest building in the world, and including in the list of world’s tallest building.

3. Nakhel Tower

Nakhel Tower building is located in Dubai, this building has a height of 3,281 ft, designed by Woods Bagot, and expected to be completed by 2020.

4. Jakarta Tower

Jakarta Tower which is located in the new area of Kemayoran, will be built a tower or a tower, but this time is not ordinary tower but the tower will be the tallest tower in the WORLD. This major project has been planned during the reign of President Soeharto initiated since 1995. Originally the Jakarta Tower will be built in the area of Kuningan, but Jakarta Governor, Soerjadi Soedirdja at that time, were not agree and proposed to build it at the Kemayoran area.

Jakarta Tower is deciding to be built with the height 558 meters and is expected to be completed in 2012. Companies of international calibre architecture design are invited to participate in a design competition for the construction of the jakarta Tower architecture. Conditions of the competition was that the building should contain a symbol of Trilogy Development, Pancasila, and August 17 (Independence Day of Republic of Indonesia).

Jakarta Tower Facility will be equipped with the parking lot with an area of 144,000 square meters, and the Building podium as high as 17 floors. Elevator to reach the top of the tower, restaurants, Zakah, Cafe, recreation Park, the Museum history of Indonesia, Hotel function room,/conference, which can accommodate ten thousands visitors. The office spaces covering an area of 8,000 square meter, the Exhibition Centre, the Centre for education and training, Multimedia Centre accompanied by radio and television broadcasts transmitter, Trade and business Centre, and also Sport Centre. It predicted, as many as 4-6 million visitors each year that will visit Jakarta Tower.

5. Bangkok-POL

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand, The growth of investment properties is pretty good, and has a vertical building boasts. Unmitigated, this city was placed three apartments in the list of top 100 in the world by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CUTBH).

The third residential skyscraper that is The River South Tower located at position 36. Residential vertical, which began operating earlier in the year 2012 has an altitude of 258 metres with 73 floors.

The next apartment is State Tower 247 meters tall. Contains 68 floors, this apartment was officially inhabited since 12 years ago and placed in 49 world ranking. 6. Abraj Al-Bait

Abraj Al-Temple Tower or is also known as Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower. This Tower is located near south of the entrance check-in Masjidil Haram. There are seven tower with a tower, which is named Hotel Tower, with over 6 other tower (601m) that specialized for apartment,this hotel tower is a seven star hotel . The building under this seven tower is in the 5nd floor: shopping center, conference rooms, and facilities (including the worship room that was able to accommodate up to 10,000 people), construction of the Abraj Al the Temple was started in 2004, and the seventh tower was gradually completed and the most recently finished from the seven tower is the tower of Maqam. Business hotel management who have become increasingly to grow in this city also cannot be separated from the large number of pilgrims. Therefore Abraj Al was also designed to be able to accommodate up to 100,000 people.
