THE LONGEST BRIDGE IN THE WORLD

The bridge is a structure that allows the construction route transport by river, lakes, roads, railways and others. Construction of the bridge is a structure that serves to connect the two sections of road that was interrupted by the presence of obstacles such as deep valleys, river basins, irrigation channel and waster. Bridge serves to connect two or more areas obstructed by rivers, straits and sea transport to increase the flow of two or more connected regions. 1. Lake pontchartrain

2. Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Chesapeake Bay Bridge (commonly known as the Bay Bridge) is a dual-span bridge in Maryland, USA. This bridge connects the East and West Coast regions, has a length of 4.3 miles (7km), the original span was the longest over-water steel structure in the world.

Construction of the bridge’s opening in 1952. inaugurated by William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge Maryland governor. After opening inaugurated later implemented its construction.

3. Bridge donghai

Bridge Bridge donghai located in Shanghai China, has a length of 32,500 M, this bridge is the longest bridge in Asia and the longest bridge across the sea.

4. King Fahd Causeway

King Fahd Causeway is multiple dike bridge combination connecting Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and the island nation of Bahrain. Construction agreement signed on July 8, 1981 led to construction beginning next year. The foundation of the bridge was laid on November 11, 1982 by King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and Sheikh Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa of Bahrain, the construction lasted until 1986, when the combination of several bridges and dams were completed. The highway was opened for use on November 25, 1986.

5. Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge or Bridge Danyang-Kunshan

Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge or Bridge Danyang-Kunshan is the longest bridge in the world, located in Beijing, China. The bridge has a length of 164 800 meters (102.4 miles) and a range of 260 meters, including 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) long across the top of the water in Suzhou Yangcheng Lake. The bridge was completed in 2010 and opened to the public in 2011.

The bridge was built to employ 10,000 people, took four years of construction and development costs of approximately $ 8.5 billion. The bridge holds the Guinness World Record for the longest bridge in the world for any category.
