3. Saving Private Ryan

Saving Private Ryan is an American film genre-war history in 1998 with the theme of war when the invasion of Normandy in World War II. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Robert Rodat scenario. The film won four Oscars in 1999 it tells the story of James Ryan (Matt Damon), a soldier who was deployed to France during the invasion of allied troops to Europe, which has just lost three of his brother in the war. Government policies ordered he should go home because his family would lose all the boys. 4. Das Boot

The film is super incredible and one of the best of all time. Very cool and exciting.

In the duration (director’s cut) long, no boring moment, and filled with “tension” and emotions. I feel this film is the best example for this kind of thriller, and an action movie + drama, as many moments chilling shiver more than a horror movie or thriller genre. The film is also capable of pumping adrenaline audience sitting casually.

5. The Brigde Over the River Kwai

The core of this film is the relationship between Saito and Nicholson, two soldiers with behavioral and different backgrounds, and there is the story of American soldiers who managed to escape and then want to come back with the team of British troops to destroy the bridge.

War is crazy, making the individual in it is lost common sense. Nicholson is so obsessed with building the perfect bridge and the US troops would be returned to the forest for a mission danger. It is about human behavior and logic can be changed by the war.
